A Note from Ron:

The DigiTech Lyra is one of those pedals that gets more interesting the deeper you dig. We know only 1,000 were made, but we do not yet know how those pedals were divided between the United States, Europe, and any other possible regional markets.

Those questions, and many others, are exactly why I created the Lyra Registry Project. With help from collectors around the world, I hope we can begin filling in the missing pieces of the Lyra's history.

The goal is simple: document as many surviving Lyra pedals as possible so collectors, players, and future researchers have something better than guesses, old listings, and scattered photos. If you own a Lyra, or if you have clear photos of one, your information can help preserve a piece of DigiTech history.

The Lyra Registry Project is a community-built archive for documenting known surviving DigiTech Lyra pedals. This includes serial numbers, box labels, regional versions, original power supplies, paperwork, accessories, and anything else that helps tell the story of where these pedals went after leaving DigiTech.

This project started after documenting my own Lyra, numbered 542/1000. What caught my attention is the complete European retail package that came with it. The box is marked LE-LYRA-EU, and the included power supply is the PS200R-230-B 230V European adapter.

That one discovery opened up several bigger questions.

How many Lyras were packaged for Europe? Were European units pulled from the same numbered production run as U.S. units? Were there separate UK or Australian versions? Did any specific serial number ranges go to certain markets, or were the pedals numbered first and packaged later?

Right now, those answers are still unknown. But with enough documented examples, patterns may begin to appear.

Why This Registry Matters

The Lyra was not a regular production pedal that stayed in catalogs for years. It was a limited-edition Eternal Descent model that came and went quickly. Because of that, a lot of details were never widely documented.

Most of what appears online about the Lyra repeats the same few facts: Eternal Descent, Llexi Leon, Eddie Kramer, seven sounds, and 1,000 units. That information matters, but it does not tell us where the pedals went, how many regional packages existed, or how many complete examples are still out there.

The registry gives us a way to start building that record from real examples.

This is not about invading anyone's privacy. Names do not have to be published. Exact ownership locations do not have to be published. The purpose is to document the pedal and preserve the history.

What The Registry Documents:
  • Serial number: The numbered plate on the pedal, such as 542/1000.

  • Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) with pedal number and signature of Llexi Leon.

  • Market version: U.S., European, UK, Australian, Japanese, or unknown.

  • Box SKU: Examples include LE-LYRA or LE-LYRA-EU.

  • Power supply: Such as the U.S. PS200R-120-B supply or the European PS200R-230-B.

  • Country found: Where the pedal surfaced, was purchased, or is currently known to exist.

  • Completeness: Pedal only, boxed, complete with manual, complete with power supply, complete with paperwork.

  • Condition: General condition notes, especially for complete boxed examples.

Entries in the Lyra Registry are arranged by serial number rather than the date they were reported. As additional pedals are documented, new entries will be inserted into their proper numerical position within the original production run.

Research Notes

Documented Facts:

  • The DigiTech Lyra was limited to 1,000 numbered pedals.

  • US retail versions have the box designation LE-LYRA-US.

  • Complete US packages include the PS200R 120V power supply.

  • European retail versions have the box designation LE-LYRA-EU.

  • Complete European packages include the PS200R-230-B 230V European power supply.

  • The Lyra enclosure is the same one used in DigiTech's D-Series pedals.

Supported By Evidence:

  • Serial number 542/1000 appearing in a European package suggests the serial numbers may not have been separated by market.

  • The market version may have been determined at the packaging stage rather than the manufacturing stage.

Still Under Investigation:

  • How many Lyra pedals were allocated to Europe?

  • How many were allocated to North America?

  • Did UK, Australian, Japanese, or other regional Lyra packages exist?

  • Were the European units randomly distributed throughout the numbered run?

  • How many complete boxed sets still survive?

How To Submit A Lyra

If you own a DigiTech Lyra and would like to help with the registry, please email clear photos and whatever details you are comfortable sharing. You do not have to share your name publicly. The goal is to document the pedal, not expose private ownership information.

Please include, when possible:

  • Complete set? (Box, manual, power supply)

  • Country where the pedal was originally purchased, if known

  • Any history or story connected to the pedal
